Here’s a fantastic bit of polispeak from a PP (Partido Popular) party rally in Spain. It’s from a couple of years back, but it’s a classic. The offender is José Ramón Bauzà, president of the Balearic Islands.

Sabemos qué es lo que hay que hacer y lo vamos a hacer. Y por eso hacemos lo que hemos dicho que íbamos a hacer y por eso seguiremos haciendo aquello que nos toca hacer a pesar que algunos no se crean que vamos a hacer los que hemos dicho que íbamos a hacer.

We know what needs to be done, and we’re going to do it. That’s why we’re doing what we said we were going to do and that’s why we’re going to keep doing what we must even though some doubt we’re going to do what we said we were going to do.
What he’s really saying
Blah, blah, blah… Please cheer yourselves into a frenzy for the TV cameras.
As pointed out in the YouTube comments, Bauzà says hacer (to do) 8 times in 18 seconds without saying anything about what they’re actually going to do.
